For the first time, Bihar will conduct a separate recruitment exam for the appointment of the Assistant Director-Cum District Public Relations (DPRO).
Based on performance in written tests followed by interviews, candidates will be selected to fill 31 empty posts in the Department of Information and Public Relations (PRD Bihar).
So far, DPRO recruitment is carried out through a combined competitive examination carried out by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).
Highlight the need for separate recruitment exams, senior officials, with the terms of Prd Bihar’s anonymity saying that the evolution of print, electronic and social media has created the need for experts in this field.
“According to ‘Bihar Soochna Niyamawali 2012’, the candidate recruited when the DPRO must have a background in journalism.
This has made us carry out a separate recruitment test,” the official said.
Previously, the candidates were elected through a combined competitive examination for the position of the DPRO offered by the Department training to get used to the nuances of media and journalism.
