Bhubaneswar: Women tend to lead 54 cities and regional councils who are told (NACS) which tend to go to the later year’s election.
The housing and urban development department on Saturday issued a draft list of reservations for heading chairman 107 and NACs in the state.
Ulb poll in the state, which has been postponed three years, is likely to be held after completing the Panalayat poll process.
According to the concept of notification, out of a total of 54 offices of the chairman provided for women, 40 seats protected for women from the general category, nine for caste women (SC) scheduled and five for tribal women (ST) scheduled to be the other in the impartial category .
In accordance with recent regulations, no post reservations have been given to the candidates belonging to the community to the back.
The department has sought advice and objections from everyone who is interested in the draft list within 15 days after the final reservation list will be published.
This department has recently released a draft reservation list for the Mayor of three city companies where two seats in Bhubaneswar Corporation and the Municipal Corporation have been intended for women while the post is not reserved at the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
Like the Mayor’s post in the city corporation, there will be direct elections for the position of chairman of the city and NACS.
As long as the upcoming local urban agency polls, voters will choose their own board members while there will be a separate electronic voting machine for the election of the chairman of the municipality / NAC.
Environmental restrictions and reservation exercises for various civil bodies have begun and are expected to be completed in January-end.
