Lucknow: BSP Mayawati’s President on Tuesday said the draft residential control bill had asked questions about the intention of the Government of Uttar Pradesh when people believed that there was no seriousness and more related to the interests of the BJP selection in power.
He said if the BJP government is serious about population control, then it will start working towards him when the government is formed.
The BSP head reaction came after Uttar Pradesh State Law Commission (UPSLC) which posted a draft population control bill on its website.
“The new bill brought by the BJP government for population control, more than its advantages and disadvantages, causes doubts about the policies and intention of the government regarding the seriousness of this national concern.
The believers are less serious and have more with interest in elections,” said Mayawati said Tweet in Hindi.
“Failing to change the population that developed into the strength and honor of the state by making them more aware and educated, BJP is now trying to control the population by forcing and punishing most families such as the previous Congress government, which is very unfair in the public eye,” he added.
According to the draft the bill, people have more than two children in the state will be released from the quarrel of local agency polls, applying for government jobs or receiving any subsidies.
The bill bill, where the suggestions have been invited from the public until July 19, also prohibits promotion in government work for such people, while offering incentives to those who limit their children to two.
The draft says it is necessary to control and stabilize the country’s population to promote sustainable development with a fairer distribution.
If applied, the provisions of the proposed law guide the population of Uttar Pradesh (control, stabilization and welfare) Bill, 2021 will take effect after one year from the date of publication in the Gazette, according to the Commission for the Uttar Pradesh (UPSLC) state website.
On Monday, Mayawati also questioned the arrest of two terrorists regarding Al-Qaeda in Lucknow on Sunday.
