Kolkata: Duare Vaccine Project (Vaccination at home) is stopped at Bhowanipor, the elderly citizens who suffer from various diseases can now take advantage of Jab Drive-In opportunities.
Under this scheme, an old citizen can be pushed to the nearest KMC vaccination center located in a certain environment for Jab.
Instead of entering the center, the recipient needs to wait in the car until the registration process is complete.
When finished, the vaccine of the KMC clinic will manage a shot in the car.
According to a KMC health department official, the drive-in scheme was held at the Mega Center which was run at the Bhowanipored Education Society.
According to the West Coordinator KMC Ashim Bose, who has introduced vaccination in the home scheme and then prohibited from implementing it, drive-in vaccination gets a good response.
“The elderly citizen who suffers from a serious illness, who wants to avoid the crowd, is now given the opportunity to be given a shot in the car outside the vaccination center,” Bose said.
Bose said people from Chakraberia Road (South), Aston Road, Lake Bose Road, Elgin Road and Dr.
Rajendra Road takes advantage of the drive-in vaccination scheme.
The doctor’s prescription is a prerequisite for utilizing this opportunity, which proves that the recipient has a threat of health hazards.
“Our medical officers in some centers of certain vaccination also use their caution to decide who is eligible to take advantage of opportunities,” said a senior official of the KMC Health Department.
