Hassan: The Foresters in Gobbali Reserve Forest area, Arkalgud Taluk in Hassan launched the drive of encroachment permits, which had previously experienced problems, on Tuesday.
A total of 91 Dalit families from Gangur Village have planted land, claimed by the Department of Forest is a forest area in April and began to clean up encroachment that leads to tension.
Now the forest staff has launched the drive that has been researched.
The village, where families are located, side by side with Gobbali reserve forest areas.
The family had fostered disputed soil since 1994 when they were released from labor bound.
In the first week of April, with the help of the police department, forest officers had drives permits which included digging trenches of cattle proof to plant trees.
However, the villagers did not allow officers to plant trees and established a temporary hut in the area.
After learning that the villagers have decided to grow the soil again, the Ministry of Forestry made preparations to stop them.
They decided to launch the drive permit at 7am on Tuesday.
RFOs have asked negligible health workers to give them an ambulance with health staff as a precaution to fight unwanted incidents.
“One hundred police were deployed in that place.
After the administrative intervention, it was decided to stop the trip for a week,” said Arkalgud RFO Arun Kumar.
“Village residents are guaranteed by alternative land.
The process of identifying land is assigned to each officer.
This report will be sent to DC,” said Arkalgud Tahsildar Renukumar.
“After they were released from the workforce, they were not provided with agricultural facilities and agricultural livelihoods that were in accordance with the actions of the labor system (removal).
Upset with this, they decided to grow adjacent forest land for livelihoods.
We have never had Officers seek an ambulance and health staff at the agitation site.
This means they expect unwanted incidents, “said CPI (M) District of President Dharmesh.
