Hyderabad: Telangana has completed the administration of two doses of Crore, an important milestone in the war against Covid-19.
Announced this during a high-level meeting on Wednesday, Secretary Chief Somesh Kumar said the vaccination drive began in January and on June 25, a crore dose provided.
One other crore dose is distributed for the next 78 days.
State administration has set goals to distribute an additional crore dose at the end of September.
Until now, around 52% of the eligible country population have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
In the larger Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) region, vaccination is almost complete.
Meanwhile, the state government is preparing to speed up vaccination drives in rural areas.
Sarpanches and Gram Panchayat employees will be involved in a special drive.
