Aurangabad: District administration in Nanded, to increase Covid vaccination coverage among various parts of society, on Thursday morning starting a special 75-hour immunization drive.
A total of 422 vaccination centers operated throughout Nanded district on the first day of the drive.
Drive, which will lead to October 24 (Sunday night), is scheduled to cover the target beneficiaries of rural areas and district urban boundaries.

Vipin Itankar said the official encouragement for Covid vaccination was needed to reduce mortality among patients as long as possible the third wave of Covid-19.
“The 75-hour long immunization drive will be carried out in three AMD shifts involving government machines and volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS), Bharat Scouts and Guides, including,” he said.
As part of the drive, Nanded District administration has set a target of a minimum of 1 dose of lakh per day and a total of four doses of lakh for 75 hours.
“The Primary Health Center (PHCS) has been given a 60,000 target target to do per day while different local self-governmental bodies must reach 40,000 remaining targets per day in combination,” Itankar said, appealing to all the target recipients.

In accordance with official data, Nanded District has witnessed 18.05,476 vaccination so far, including 13.15,860 beneficiaries that have received at least one jab vaccine.
