Drive vaccination on track in Chamarajanagar

MySuru: The Chamarajanagar border district edged closer to the achievement of the target of 100%, in managing the first dose of the vaccine to protect against Covid-19.
On December 30, the district vaccinated 97% of its qualified population, with the first dose of vaccines.
It has set a target to vaccinate 7.8 lakh people, by providing the first dose of vaccines.
Jelandur Taluk has reached 101% of the achievement of the target, Chamarajanagar (96%), Gundlupet (95%), Kumplegal (98%) and Hanur (96%), in providing the first dose vaccine.
The vaccination drive began in the last week of January 2021, in a gradual way, with the first time it cared for the Ministry of Health and Frontline Covid Warriors.
This successfully lasts for several months, but must be stopped due to lack of vaccines in the mid 2021, when the second wave of pandemics began in the district.
Although the district accepted enough vaccine stocks in the coming months, people hesitated to stab, when Covid cases began to fall in the district.

The district has reached 73% of its target, by vaccinating more than 5.7 lakh people with both vaccine doses.
Even though people voluntarily come in large quantities in cities, headquarters and city limits, the health department officials face many challenges in several bags of rural areas, because of the hesms of the population of tribal hamlets and in the villages on the edge of the forest .
However, with the coordination of officials from income, health, Panchayat Raj and the police department, this district is now getting closer to achieving 100% vaccination coverage, convince people who are hesitant to receive Jab, said Dr.

Speaking to Stoi, Chamarajanagar District Health Officer Dr.
K M Visvesharai said that the district health authority had intensified the drive vaccination to cover a qualified population, which was abandoned from receiving the first and second dose, following direction from Deputy Commissioner of Charulatha Somal.
The instructions have been given to all medical medical officials to ensure 100% vaccination coverage by the end of this month, with effective coordination with Asha workers and education, officials of the Panchayat Revenue Department Raj and income.
