PHOENIX: Authorities on Monday recognized the man accused of plowing his pickup truck into a bunch of bicyclists participating in a weekend in an Arizona mountain city, seriously injuring many cyclists, and court documents reveal that he has a criminal record of driving while drunk.
Shawn Michael Chock, 35, fled at the crash Saturday at Show Low, that is roughly a hard drive push of Phoenix, also was captured by authorities as they chased himsaid Kristine Sleighter, a police spokeswoman.
Chock, who resides in neighboring White Mountain Lakes, remains hospitalized in stable state, and police were attempting to ascertain a reason for the accident.
