Hyderabad: A 22-year-old driver was arrested for allegedly exploiting a 17-year-old girl promising to marry her.
The defendant, a resident of Alwal, was friends with victims of Kushaiguda, who was an intermediary student.
On June 26, the victim left his house after taking Rs 20 of his mother to buy medicine for a headache.
When the girl did not go home, a complaint was submitted to Kushaiguda police.
The girl returned home on July 5 and told her family that the defendant took her to Kurnool promising to marry her.
The victim also said that he had sexually exploited him when he was alone at home in the past.
Based on the family complaints of the victims, a case was listed under Section 366, 376, 417, 420 IPC and Pocso acted against the defendant.
He was arrested and sent in detention on Wednesday.
The police are investigating this case.
