Hubbali: Among the highways enhanced by Hubballi-Dharwad Smart Cities Ltd.
(HDSCL) is Nehru Road, Victoria Road, Durgadbail Road, Station Road, Koppikar Road, et al.
Overall, the road that stretches along 6.8 km is being upgraded under the ‘City City’ project in the twin cities.
Meanwhile, occupants and shop owners both want HDSCL to ensure that work on the road is finished on time.
This project imagines the increase in street lights on the streets, increasing tagging, ensuring that pedestrians enjoy the hassle free streets along the sidewalk.
The work to increase the vulnerable road began in 2017, with the amount of Rs 47.9 Crore intended for the project.
An HDSCL official expressed hope to work on all the most early roads.
The driver who travels regularly along this road complains about the protracted delay in completing work with these streets.
Indicates that HDSCL began working on various projects almost five years ago, they said that there were few who proved the transformation of Hubballi-Dharwad into a ‘smart city’.
Among other things, the remaining dust and debris on the road had left the upset commuter.
Many start wondering how long it will be needed for the authorities to introduce smart cards.
While the shop owner must deal with a decline in business, motorists find trips with roads of nightmare experiences, especially when rocks and other materials used for construction are removed on the road.
HDSCL Managing Director Shakeel Ahmed said, “Working on all roads intended to increase under the ‘City City’ project will be completed in two months.
We have finished work in the water channel, and all cables have been installed.
The work was delayed due to the outbreak of Covid-19 , because we have to give a time limit.
“Working on City City projects was launched in twin cities in May 2017, with RS 500 Crore allocated by the central government for various initiatives.
However, a contractor said that, many projects were not finished because of a pandemic.
