Gurgaon: On the first day of law enforcement encouragement, around 44 rain harvest holes (RWH) in four housing communities in the sector 58 to 67 were examined.
Drive is done in the District Administrative Instructions by the Nodal Officer and District Town Planner (Enforcement) Batth Hospital along with Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) officials, Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) and DTCP to oversee the harvesting of rainwater (RWH) holes in the city and functionality.
BATTH told TOI that detailed examination was carried out on the basis of the development plan distributed by developers of four communities – Golf, Urbana, Corporate land, and Grand Arch.
“About five holes are found partly functional because it requires desilting and cleaning.
The problem found with other RWH holes along with the instructions of corrective measures will be shared with the developer and the Rwa concerned within three days,” he said.
These sectors, along the golf course extensions mostly have group housing groups and swimming colonies.
Previous surveys, conducted in 2019, exposing the conditions of RWH settings, most of which were found partly functional.
BATTH also said that the second phase of the drive will begin on July 19 where the housing community along the Dwarka toll road will be examined.
“We have directed all RWA to share complaints related to non-functional RWH holes with the department to take timely action in this regard,” he said.
