Drones are seen near the Indian border-pack in Punjab, BSF on a high warning

TARN TARAN: Border Security Force (BSF) saw a drone in Rajoke near the international border in the Ferozpur district of Tarn District Taran on the night intervention 3 and September 4, and fired a shot to shoot back, but he managed to fly again.
BSF, along with the local police, connects the area and conducted a search operation, but no suspicious was found.
This was the first time a drone was seen near the international border after the Taliban took over Afghanistan for only two weeks ago.
When talking to Toi, the BSF Inspector General of the Punjab border, Sonali Mishra, said the appearance of drones was recorded by security agents since 2019.
“We are always alert, our practice is there,” he said.
Not only the appearance of drones, but dropping drugs and weapons within the Indian territory in Punjab has occurred for a long time.
However, with the control of Taliban control over Afghanistan and its leaders announced to increase the “voice for Kashmir Muslims”, the security institution here has not increased physical security measures but also increases their intelligence tissue.
When asked whether the incidence of Indian airspace violations by drones and infiltration offers from Pakistan would increase with the Taliban took over Afghanistan, answered Mishra, “nothing can be ruled out.” Mishra told TII about an incident of Pakistani smuggler concerns at night intervention 1 and 2 September and the recovery of two heroin packages from ownership.
Senior police supervisor, Tarn Taran, Opindindeljit Singh Ghuman said that the police had launched an investigation to find out whether there was a local involvement in the incident.
Former BSF IG from Punjab Frontier, MS Malhi suggested troops to buy or develop anti-drone technology, including detection and downing drones, without further delay.
“The troops really need to buy or develop and implement technology to identify drones that enter and shoot him,” he said.
Referring to the previous appearance of the drone on the International Border of Punjab, Malhi said the previous drone originating from Pak land was used to drop drugs and ammunition, which was interconnected.
“Smuggling opium and heroin by Mr.
Fill is the main source of financing of the previous Taliban regime in Afghanistan,” he said.
When asked whether he caught a cross-border infiltration spike and smuggling efforts, given the contents of developing close relationships with the Taliban new regime, he replied, “We have to wait and watch, but the troops on the border must be a warning all the time.”
