Jammu: Detected Drone Activities near the Jammu Air Force Station once again on Wednesday morning, less than a week after the flying machine is seen along the control line (LOC) in the Pallanwala area in Akhnoor.
“Unmanned air vehicle (UAV / alleged drone) was seen in two different locations in the Satwari sector early on Wednesday.
Around 4 in the morning, a drone was found drifting on a civil airport and similar objects seen flying over the Peer Baba region on Satwari Near your air force base for a while, “said a source.
Then, the UAVs disappeared and the authorities concerned were told, after a massive search was launched to track these flying objects.
On June 27, two bombs were implanted by drones at the Jammu Air Force Station, leaving two IAF personnel injured.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is investigating this case.
After the attack, the district authority has banned the use of commercial / private drones in Samba, Solkar, Kathua, Rajouri, Poonch, Baramulla, Srinagar, Jammu and Ganderbal Regency in J & K.
On July 15, a drone again seen near the Air Force Station Jammu, while others are seen along Loc in Palhanwala.
The two incidents were reported within 24 hours and on July 14, BSF forced the alleged drone to return to the side of Pakistan after being seen floating over the Arnia Jammu area.
Expressing concern over the proliferation of drones, J & K DGP Dibbag Singh previously said that drones have added new dimensions with security threats from terror groups.
In an interview in Srinagar on Tuesday, Singh said the investigation against the attack on the Jammu IAF station last month showed the involvement of non-state actors, supported by state actors such as Pakistani armory factories.
