New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the real progress of six light house projects (LHP) in six cities with direct feedback from Drone on Saturday.
These projects use new technology for construction that are faster and have targets to complete more than 6,000 houses and additional facilities in one year.
Modi also reviewed the progress of the Svanidhi PM scheme, which provides 10,000 Rs loans for each guarantee for each street vendor.
PM directs officials and agents to encourage more digital payments by street vendors, said sources.
As far as LHP concerning, TOI has learned that all construction companies have convinced mod to complete projects in time.
PM has launched a project on January 1 this year with the aim of large-scale adoption of new technology to build houses quickly.
Source said the Ministry of Housing uses drone feed directly from the factory and also from the actual construction site to suggest how the project is on its track.
Previously in February 2018, PM had reviewed the development work in Kedarnath using drones and this was also deployed by government institutions to review highway projects in Uttarakhand.
“This is the biggest when drones are used for direct reviews about progress on the ground; from the factory to the work site in a dozen cities.
Some factories where pre-fabricated goods are being produced far from the work location,” said a source.
LHP will come in Rajkot, Chennai, Lucknow, Indore, Ranchi and Agartala.
In Rajkot, the monolithic concrete construction technology from France will make houses strong enough to face natural disasters.
Canadian technology, which is being used in Lucknow, requires a wall that has been prepared, which will not require plaster and paint, the government said.
In Chennai, Pre-cast concrete system technology from the US and Finland will help build houses faster and cheaper.
In Ranchi, the house will be built using a German 3D construction system like Lego toys.
Each room will be built separately before making the whole structure.
Agartala, the house will be built with steel frames using New Zealand technology to fight earthquakes.
