NEW DELHI: The data technology ministry has recently written to social networking firms requesting them to take any material which refers to a”Indian version” of this coronavirus, as shown by a letter issued on Friday that was spotted by Reuters.
The World Health Organization said on May 11 the coronavirus version B.1.617, initially identified in India this past year, has been categorized as a version of international concern.

The authorities every day after issued a statement stating media reports utilizing the expression”Indian Variant” were no foundation, stating the WHO had categorized it as only B.1.617.
At a letter to social networking firms around Friday, the IT ministry asked the firms to”eliminate all of the articles” which names or suggests”Indian version” of the coronavirus.
