Drop in new cases of uncertain in some districts: Minister of TN

Chennai: Fresh Covid-19 cases continued to fall in the state on Friday even though the six districts reported an increase in marginalized.
The state reported 97 deaths and issued 4,952 people from the Covid-19 registry.
In the end, there were 36,707 people who underwent treatment for viral infections.
New cases in Istama hotspots in the western region, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem and Tirupur continue to see a decline on Friday.
But with 486 new cases, Coimbatore reported the highest number of cases followed by Erode (395), Salem (268) and Tirupur (243).
Cases in Madurai fell from 94 cases on Thursday to 85.
But there was an increase in marginalized in cases in Mayiladuthurai, Ariyalur, Karur, Theni, Tiruvalur and Ramanathapuram compared to Thursday.
“Some districts are erratic.
They don’t see a stable decline and we don’t know why.
For the next two days, I will visit the Cuddalore and Tiruvannamalai district to review Covid-19 management,” said Minister of Health MA Subramanianian.
“There is a complete fall in the case.
At least 25 districts in the state have reported cases in two digits.
But the fall level has slowed.
This is why we ask the District Authority not to reduce testing.
With more relaxation, people must be careful too, “He said.
The state continues to test at least 1.6 lakh samples every day and its prepositives have inched almost 3%.
While the level of prospitis in Madurai is below 1%, it is slightly above 1% Chennai.
In Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur and Vellore, the level of participation varies from 1.4% to 1.6%.
Of the 97 deaths reported, 30 came from Thanjavur.
Sudden surge is because the district has reconciled and adds death from the second week of June to the list on Friday, officials said.
While Coimbatore and Pudukkottai respectively reported seven deaths, Chennai recorded five deaths.
At least 13 districts report zero death.
Meanwhile, the state was vaccinated by 3.3 lakh people on Friday.
The country has around 8 doses of lakh around 8am today when vaccination starts.
“Stock will run out in one or two days.
Vaccination is the only tool we have against the third wave anticipated,” Subramanian said.
