DRP with AP: Telangana raises objections

Hyderabad: The Telangana government raises objections about referring to detailed project reports (DPRS) to Andhra Pradesh regularly.
In a letter to the Chairperson of the GODAVARI RIVER MANISTER Council (GRMB), J Chandrasekhar Iyer, Telangana Irrigation, Secretary of the Special Chief of Rajat Kumar, said the DPR projects such as the Chowtpally Hanumantha Reddy Lift Project (LIS) and Chanaka-Korata Carrase were referred to the AP government for their observations and comments.
“The projects are well in the water allocated and there are no problems between countries involved.
Chowtpally Hanumantha Reddy Lis was taken, executed and assigned to the ARS United government and had been operating for six years.
Other Chanaka-Korata Project projects approved With Gazette GRMB notice and taken according to the agreement with Maharashtra and the AP and subsequently between Telangana and Maharashtra, “said the Head of the Special Secretary.
Going with this, it is not clear what comments expected GRMB from the AP government when there were no problems between countries involved between the two countries in connection with the two projects above, said the Rajat Kumar.
In another letter to the Thungabhadra Board, Telangana Irrigation Engineer, C Muralidhar said the transfer of Krishna’s water for Thungabhadra was a high level of high level unpleasant canal for Telangana.
The AP government asked the Thungabhadra Board to divert the KC channel quota of two TMCFs, in addition to the two TMCFT that had been transferred, from the Thungabhadra dam until a high level canal.
“The request cannot be maintained and against the water dispute of the Tribunal -1 tribunal award and will harm the requirements of the Rajolibanda diversion scheme, which always gets a deficit flow.”
