New Delhi: Decision Review System (DRS) will make its debut at the Men’s T20 Men to be held in Oman and the UAE starting this month, after the ICC approved its use in the tournament.
ICC announced the introduction of Drs at the upcoming exhibition in a playing condition for the event released by it earlier this week.
Men’s World Cup T20 will be held from October 17 to November 14.
According to the EspnCricInfo report, each team will get a maximum of two reviews per innings.
The Leadership Agency has confirmed in June last year’s review of additional Drs which failed for each team in each match in all formats, “Given that there may be a less experienced referee when” related to Covid-19 reasons.
So, the number of appeals that did not succeed per half for each team had increased into two in the format of white balls and three in the test match.
Drs are not part of the Men’s T20 World Cup before because the review system does not apply at T20S in 2016 when the Marquee event was last held.
Drs made his first appearance at the T20i ICC Tournament in 2018 at the Women’s Cup T20 in the Caribbean.
The system is again used at the T20 World Cup for women 2020 in Australia.
