CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Police on Tuesday detained a interstate drug peddler and captured 21kg of opium worth Rs 30 lakh from his ownership in Kaithal district.
A police spokesperson stated that after specific input signal, cops raided a home and seized the contraband.
Arrested detained has been recognized as Gurpreet Singh alias Preet, also a resident of Mahmoodpur.
Preliminary research demonstrated Gurpreet used to supply the opium out of Bihar and provide it in tiny quantities at greater cost from the Guhla-Cheeka region and Punjab.
In the following crackdown, 145 g of heroin was recovered in three men recognized as Vikram alias Pahadi, Vikarm alias Bikar along with Sewak at Fatehabad district.
“In another instance, Panipat police detained one Sanjeev, a native of Uttarakhand, following 1.30kg of charas was recovered by his ownership”, he further added.
