NEW DELHI: A drunk guy climbed atop a cell tower in south Delhi’s Pushp Vihar region on Friday, authorities said.
The guy, that has been recognized as Satish Kumar (20), also a resident of this federal capital’s Anupam Garden area, failed to heed his parents’ orders to return.
He came after about one hour, he said.
It’s not yet understood why he scaled the tower, the authorities said.
In 11.23’m, a PCR phone was received in Saket police station which a man has increased atop a cell tower at Asian Market, Sector-3, Pushp Vihar, he stated.
“When police reached the place, it had been discovered that a individual aged about 20 had grown up the tower was not coming despite many requests.
An ambulance and a fire brigade have been called in but that he didn’t return,” deputy commissioner of police (south west ) Atul Kumar Thakur stated.
His parents requested him to return in vain.
He came after about one hour seemed to be under the influence of alcohol, ” authorities said.
Kumar’s dad told authorities he left home about 5 pm Thursday and didn’t return.
He acts as a labourer and can be a habitual drinker,” they stated.
Kumar was sent to get a medical evaluation, they stated.
