Rajkot: A drunken man flying angry and shot dead his 18-year-old son in their home in Boran Village near the Limbdi in the Surendranagar district on Sunday night.
The boy, Mahendra Manduriya, surrendered to injury while being treated at a local hospital.
On Sunday night, Mahendra Pitambar’s father, a livestock trader, quarreled with several villagers.
Then, he came home in a very drunken state and experienced a fight with his wife Puri.
When the battle increases, the pitambar starts to struggle.
Seeing him beat his mother, Mahendra hurried to save him.
Angry at the Mahendra intervention, the pitambung issued a revolver made by the country and shot him behind.
The teenager rushed to the hospital in the city of Limbdi where he died late at night.
Pitambar, 50, managed to escape after shooting his son.
Sister Elder Mahendra filed a complaint against his father at the Limbdi Police Station.
The deceased was fourth among the five siblings.
