Gurgaon: The City and State Planning Department (DTCP) has decided to take over Ardee City from the developer.
It cancels the colony license earlier this month.
For takeover, the DTCP has formed a five member committee under the leadership of the senior city planner.
Residents have welcomed moving and said they hope it will help in solving civilian problems.
The committee has been assigned to prepare the estimated amount needed to complete infrastructure work that lacks in the colony.
DTCP will restore the number of developers and use it to carry out development work.
In accordance with the provisions of Part 19 Development and Rules of Haryana Urban Region Law, DTCP Director must implement or cause development work in licensed colonies and restore charges arising from the developer and plot holders.
“The department will take over the colony in accordance with the provisions and committees led by STP will prepare an estimate for the implementation of development work,” said Director of DTCP KM Pandurang.
After taking over the colony, the committee, which consists of senior city planners, district city planners (planning), district city planners (enforcement), executive engineer Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) and representatives from Deputy Commissioner Gurgaon, will prepare a schedule to do work Development and maintenance of public health services and electricity supply and check property registration, acceptance of installments and account maintenance and so on.
Regional MCG council, Kuldeep Bohra, said people were happy with that step.
“This will help in the development of colonies because developers fail to complete the work of infrastructure development and residents have faced problems,” he said.
Praveen Yadav, President Ardee City Rwa, said a group of residents met DTCP officials on Saturday and asked them to act against the developer, but also ensured that it did not cause discomfort.
“After the license is canceled, the Registry of Property in Ardee City has been limited.
DTCP must develop a mechanism where restrictions must only be on the property owned by the developer,” Yadav said.
On September 2, the DTCP canceled the Ardee City license.
On September 20, Gopal Dass Estates & Housing – Developer Ardee City – Director and 13 Associate companies were ordered for violating the project license terms and conditions issued by the DTCP for the colony.
Developers are also accused of cheating showing a portion of the land owned by HSVP as part of the city when looking for a license.
