NEW DELHI: It is very likely the Delhi University will begin its entrance procedure from July 15, vice-chancellor P C Joshi stated on Thursday.
The VC, however, added that the dates may change whether the Centre includes a new coverage or makes the decision to run the all-India Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET).
Joshi reiterated that because DU’s entry is based on merit,”this season, also, we’ll admit pupils on the basis of symbols they’ve obtained from their boards” “Because Class XII examinations won’t occur, we could begin the enrollment for admissions on July 15 and so are prepared for itunless the government makes the decision to run the CUCET,” he further added.
The two CBSE and CISCE have declared they won’t run Class XII examinations due to the next wave of their Covid outbreak in the nation.
The DU vice-chancellor maintained they would wait for additional State boards to think of a choice.
“A lot of those boards are after CBSE and determining not to run tests.” “Unlike past decades, our entry procedure will finish by July.
So, there’ll be a delay, however, we’ll attempt to begin from mid-July, if the government permits,” he explained, adding , similar to this past year, the entrance procedure would be entirely on line and contactless.
