Given the current Covid-19 pandemic and make a database for vaccinated students on campus, the University of Delhi (DU) has added a column on vaccination status in the form of postgraduate (PG) this year.
The university asks students to mention if they have been vaccinated or not.
“This step aims to create a database on the number of people on a vaccinated campus and not to stop anyone visiting campus,” said Rajeev Gupta, Chair (reception), DU.
The acceptance form includes the vaccination column for PG students.
“Bachelor (UG) applicants have been released from this because they speculate that most of them may not be 18 years old and the government has not started vaccination for under 18 years,” Gupta added.
He added that undergraduate students will also be asked to share their vaccination status if the government starts the drive for them too.
