LONDON: FAF DU PLESSIS South Africa will not play a role in the ‘hundreds’ new edition of the new season’s competition because of the effects of lingering from the concussion suffered during the Pakistani Super League, former captain Proteas announced on Friday.
Du Plessis has thought it might come back after missing the first three matches in the 100 ball tournament per side, after being appointed as captain of the North Supercharger after replacing Aaron Finch Australia.
But the 37-year-old had not performed at all and Du Plessis, on an Instagram post on Friday, said he returned to South Africa but he still planned to travel to the T20 T20 Premier League this year, which began in August.

Du Plessis, who was not selected on the South African T20i side for Sri Lanka tour, also said he hoped to return for next year’s edition of one hundred.
“I’m really grateful for all the support through this difficult injury and feels like I’m very close to play again,” Du Plessis said.
Supercharger added in a statement: “FAF DU PLESSIS will return to South Africa to continue His rehabilitation of the concussions suffered by PSL earlier this year.
Dane Vilas will continue as a replacement in the North Supercharger for the rest of the competition.” Du Plessis suffered a concussion during the PSL T20 match in Abu Dhabi in June, after colliding with Quetta Gladiatore Team-Mate Mohammad Hasnain while trying to save the limit and not take part in the event.
