Dungarpur: More than 200 Kids test positive in 12 times

JAIPUR/UDAIPUR: The country kid commission has written to Dungarpur district collector once it observed that approximately 210 kids and teens tested positive for Covid at the past 12 days. As stated by the district collector, 56 of these are at the zero to 12 years age category, whereas the rest are between 12 and 18 decades. They contracted the disease in their Covid favorable parents and are currently recovering. The kid panel has requested the government to establish committed Covid wards for kids and fundamental infrastructure for therapy. Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights chairperson Sangeeta Beniwal stated,”Some press reports stated over 500 kids were contaminated with Covid in last fourteen days at Dungrapur, however once I talked to the district collector,” he also said the true number was approximately 200. This amount is also rather large and kids are between 14-17 age class. I’ve requested the government to establish committed Covid ward for kids with decent facilities. I also have asked them to send me a listing of kids that are infected. It has been requested from all districts also.” The district administration officials maintained that the amount of kids getting infected has stayed steady in the past few months. District collector Suresh Ola stated,”I’ve observed the numbers of the amount of kids who had been Covid confident in March, April and May, that indicates that there’s been no radical gain in the amount. In an average, we receive approximately 3-4 instances of kids each day, but just 1 child was admitted to a hospital in the past six months while the rest have regained in the home. In last 12 times there have been 56 children between 0-12 years that had been covid confident while the remaining kids were elderly” Ola seen with the children’s ward in the district hospital Saturday to shoot a comprehensive report. In accordance with guidelines aside from establishing of different ward for Covid contaminated kids, the district government should make sure all kids hospitals/wards have sufficient facilities such as ventilators, oxygen tanks and medical personnel. The state health department also stated about 3 percent of the overall sufferers are children. A senior officer stated,”Approximately 3 percent of the instances, that are reported, are kids in the age class of 0-10 decades. It’s been discovered in the next wave, just about all relatives become infected.” But, Dungarpur CMHO Dr Rajesh Sharma stated speculations about the wave with affected kids in the district are baseless. ” In over a couple of weeks, just 60 youngsters were found favorable. These were hurt and they have been analyzed due to contact tracing. Both their parents or relatives were positive and thus the children contracted the illness,” Sharma told TOI. He also added that Dungarpur was the very first district to start attempts for post-graduate screening and supply of health kits.
