Pals of mysuru-based cyclists, Gurprasad B and Bharath P N, pedaled more than 1,000 kilometers from MySuru to Tirupati to create awareness about staying fit to prevent infection from Covid-19.
On the way they planted Sayus too.
Duo began a trip on June 30 and finished it on July 9.
Guruprasad said, “We decided to lift the spirit of many people who had lost their hopes since the plague of pandemic, so we decided to paddle 1,000 kilometers and choose Tirupati and be chosen as the final destination because we wanted to reach people who live in villages, for Spreading awareness about the need to remain safe to fight deadly pandemics.
On our way, we ask people to enjoy physical activity for at least one hour a day.
We hold banners in several places to deliver messages to people about the safety protocol they need to follow.
“Duo planted puppies in 13 different locations around college, school and police station.
“We want people to care for puppies, so through our NGO helped hands, we relate to the locals and make sure they care for bad boys,” Bharath said.
On what they learned from this trip in pandemic, they said, “We have done a lot of long distance cycling.
This is the first time we did it for a reason, so it was the highest satisfaction when our trip peaked in Tirupati.
