Pune: A 23-year-old man from Dhankawadi and his friend, the owner of the Paan shop, who wants to buy gold at a low price, finally loses RS8 Lakh to the gang of six people, who not only robbed the cash but also struggled with a duo with a wooden stick.
The incident took place on Friday in Kikvi Village near Bhor, about 40 km from Pune City.
A officer from Police Rajgad told Tii that on January 5, when the complainant with the owner of the Kiosk Paan, the last one received a call from his acquaintance, said that he really needed cash.
The caller said that he had 1 kg of gold he wanted to sell.
“The owner of Stall complainants and Paan decided to take the opportunity,” he said.
Duo went to Jambhulwadi to meet people with gold, who gave them samples to show a jewelry at Bibvewadi.
On Friday afternoon, the duo and three friends went near Kikvi with the money.
“After reaching the place, friend owner of Store Paan said only the upcoming duo,” the officer was informed.
In front, four men attacked them with a stick.
“Friend owner of the Paan shop grabbed a bag with RS8 Lakh and escaped.
They also took a smartphone duo,” the officer said.
The applicant and shop owner of the Paan suffered a severe injury in the attack, the officer said.
