Kolkata: Due to evening hours easing during the festival season, the owner of a luxury restaurant in the city has searched the West Bengal government to extend closing hours with another hour from 10:30 a.m.
during the days of Durga Puja.
The restaurant owner has appealed to the Secretary of the Head of State.
“We have urged the government to extend the closing time, which is now 10:30, about an hour because many Hopper Pandal will not be on the way they do in pre-covid-19 years with the Calcutta High Court and Administration.

If the closing time can be extended with one more hour from October 10 or 11 to 16, nothing can be better, “he said.
The owner of the restaurant chain ‘Oudh 1590’ and ‘Chowman’ Shiladitya Chowdhury told PTI, “We have asked the government if the deadline can be extended by more time.
We have not received a positive response.” However, if the time limit of 10:30 PM continues, the restaurant outlet will continue the delivery of parcel food until 2am, Chowdhury added.
President of the Association of Hotels and restaurants in East India, Sudesh Poddar said “With part of the person who is looking for an alternative to Hopping Pandal, especially at night, we anticipate a crowd in the popular meal zone.
