Kolkata: Durga Puja organizers have decided to follow last year’s restrictions during the Puja ritual and synchronized with a court order announced on Friday.
All major Puja organizers say they have completed a double vaccination of all major individuals – priests, helping hands, dhakis, pandal decorators, and electrician – who will have access to pandal to ensure the level of safety between those involved in Puja Day activities.
The last Ashtami, Puja organizers have increased the number of batches for ‘Anjali’ with some of them limiting rows and columns outside the limited zone for worshipers to stand while offering prayers.
Also, most of them have established hard speakers so that the mattress can be clearly heard by worshipers.
Some have even installed a giant screen so that Dewi’s face was seen during ‘Anjali’.
“We have decided to take part in the template last year to ‘Anjali’.

“We will also serve those who want to give a prayer from a distance,” said the Secretary of the Puja Committee of Saswat Bose.
At Bhowanipore 75 Palli, there will be no cut fruit Cut and no ‘Santi Jal’ sprinkles after Anjali.
