Kolkata: Durga Puja organizers have decided to follow last year’s restrictions during the Puja ritual and synchronized with a court order announced on Friday.
All major Puja organizers say they have completed a double vaccination of all major individuals – priests, helping hands, dhakis, pandal decorators, and electrician – who will have access to pandal to ensure the level of safety between those involved in Puja Day activities.
The last Ashtami, Puja organizers have increased the number of batches for ‘Anjali’ with some of them limiting rows and columns outside the limited zone for worshipers to stand while offering prayers.
Also, most of them have established hard speakers so that the mattress can be clearly heard by worshipers.
Some have even installed a giant screen so that Dewi’s face was seen during ‘Anjali’.
“We have decided to take part in the template last year to ‘Anjali’.
Maybe, the line will be permitted closer to the goddess.
But with the court now increasing the limit of last year, settings will be 10 m,” said Ballygunge Puja Samity Maddox Square Chakraborty, added that There will be no public announcement made at Timing Anjali to prevent crowding.
“We will encourage people in that environment, especially senior citizens, to make offerings from the porches in their homes,” he added.
At Hatbagan Sarbajanin Durgotsav, the committee has asked the household that has been associated with Puja for decades to submit the names of women who want to participate in ‘Anjali’ to allow them to prepare a list of people who will be allowed to enter Pandal Ashtami.
“We will also serve those who want to give a prayer from a distance,” said the Secretary of the Puja Committee of Saswat Bose.
At Bhowanipore 75 Palli, there will be no cut fruit Cut and no ‘Santi Jal’ sprinkles after Anjali.
“For Sandhi Pujo, only a few certain women will be present.
The rest can see it on the giant screen,” Subir Das, Secretary of the Puja Committee.
Many Puja organizers have limited Sindoor Khela.
