Duse Dose Hits Vaccination Drive in Maha

Pune: a limited vaccine supply and an increase in demand has brought a long queue outside the vaccination center in the country’s main areas.
On Tuesday, government centers in Pune and Aurangabad could not hold a covishield drive due to very low backup.
The authorities said the argument between staff and the people was asked to come later because their Jab became frequent.
“The lack of vaccines has become the norm in Aurangabad.
There are no public representatives so far have survived this problem,” said Nilesh Dharashivkar (47), who was still waiting for his first dose.
Aurangabad City on Tuesday only gave 345 covaxin doses and no covishield.
In the District Pune also, the authorities are preparing to surge the recipient of the second dose of the covishield.
The district has received a dose of 5.17 lakh covishield so far this month.
More batches are expected, but with more than 10 lakh people expected to be eligible for the second covishield in July, authorities say the availability remains a concern.
An official with PMC said the lack of supply had had an impact on plans to vaccinate the residents of slums and home care.
In Kolhapur, which has the highest covid peposititivity level in the state, only those who qualify for the second dose they have obtained their Jab.
In the last two days, around 4,300 beneficiaries were vaccinated at 11 Kolhapur Municipal Corporation.
The central team visiting Kolhapur District last week has suggested local authorities to immediately protect people in flood-prone areas.
However, the authorities say they don’t have enough doses.
Kolhapur was sent around 80,000 doses last Friday.
More expected on Wednesday.
In Nashik, the drive crosses 120 central Corporation Nashik Municipal has been erratic because of the supply of misery.
Civil authorities have now urged residents who are able to pay to get their Jab in a private hospital.
Maharashtra on Tuesday passed a sign of a four-crore dose but the rate of coverage was still worried.
Officials said vaccine requests would only rise in the next few days because all aged 18-44 years, which had been given Jab in the first week of May, was set to qualify for the second dose immediately.
