Trichy: The Directorate of Team of Precautions and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), led by four deputy police supervisors, has searched the office and the residence of the former Minister of Transportation and the leader of AIDMK M R Vijayabhaskar, since early morning.
Searches are being made in 20 places in Karur and one in Chennai, a very placed source confirmed.

DVAC is conducting a search based on suspected complaints received from truck owners about forcing them to buy reflective stickers and other equipment from certain companies, in an effort to support it, the source said.
While DVAC has ordered a former minister in the case of disproportionate assets in Chennai, now has searched more than 20 places, including his residence, office units and dying in Karur.
Vijayabhaskar fought the Karur assembly segment that was unsuccessful in April elections.
He was defeated in a close contest with V Senthil Balaji from DMK, which holds an electric portfolio.
