Dwarka Expressway Cloverleaf may be ready for August 2022

Gurugram: If the city of Gurugram (MCG) is attached to its commitment to surrender the land for the Cloverleaf flyover from the Dwarka Expressway package, an important exchange will be completed in August 2022, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has said.
In a meeting held recently for delays in submitting 0.3 hectares in the village of Kheri Daula to Nhai for The Cloverleaf Flyover, MCG has been looking for time until July 31.
The process of handing over land, has had cremation and temple land has been detained for more than three years now and the corporation has repeatedly failed to meet the deadline that has been carried out.
Nhai officials hope that if MCG finally adheres to the latest timeline, the highway authority will be able to complete work on the exchanges in one year since they get land.
“In a recent meeting, MCG said it would give us land at the end of July.
If that happens, we hope to complete the work on the cloverleaf interchange in August next year,” said a senior Nhai official.
The highway authority has been waiting for a 0.3 hectare ownership since 2018.
As part of the package 4 of the Dwarka Expressway, the Cloverleaf Interchange will be built on 14 hectares of land, where NHAI already has more than 13 hectares.
This project has been postponed for more than three years and has missed the revised deadline for December 2020.
In August 2019, NHAI has transferred more than Rs 5 Crore to MCG as an estimated amount of compensation to obtain land.
Since then, several letters have been written to civilian agencies urging them to speed up the process.
In March this year, MCG had initiated a process of transferring 0.3 hectares to NHAI after they found an alternative plot for cremation locations.
However, the process shifts the temple, delayed because of the second wave of Covid.
In May, MCG told TOI that the construction of the temple on alternative sites could not be resolved because construction activities were affected by locking.
Has claimed that the land will be transferred to NHAI on June 30.
“The shift of the temple has been postponed because of the second wave and the resulting lock that affects construction activities.
We are committed to providing land and hope that we will submit it at the end of this month,” said an MCG official.
