Lucknow: Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya on Tuesday which was almost inaugurated and placed the Batu Foundation 8,413 projects worth more than RS 10,000 Crore to lend a boost for better road connectivity in the state.
These projects include 4,703 roads by 8,737 km in 353 assembly constituents and 132 bridges in 79 assembly constituencies.
Maurya instructed PWD officials to monitor work through a system and information immediately available.
Appreciating PWD officials, up Bridge Corporation and Rajkiya Nirman Nigam, Maurya said that without the right way, development was incomplete.
He said that work had been done to connect the village to a distance of 5 km from the national highway, the state highway, the main district road and other district roads.
He said that before 2017, the length of the national highway in the state was 6,000 km, which now increased to 12,000 km.
Construction work has been done while eliminating all obstacles.
Maurya said that not only good quality roads were made using new and modern technology, but a large amount of money had also been saved, because of which success had been achieved in the villages that connect.
He said that changes in road design had produced a 20-25% reduction in construction costs and material consumption, thus promoting environmental protection and promotion.
