Nagpur: The Branch of City Police Crime has broken the Bhopal-based inter-state racket that has issued a fake electronic transit pass (E-TP) to the sand mafia in Maharashtra, which leads to the loss of state royalties.
On Friday, the crime branch team took the Mastermind Rahul Khanna from Bhopal.
He learned to operate a racket over the past few months.
Khanna, the son of a influential politician from Bhopal, has issued a fake pass to police pass in Nagpur after walking to his trap.
The guardian asked Khanna by telephone to send it electronic lift from Bhopal for using it in the Nagpur district.
Khanna, after receiving payment, has sent it an e-pass from Narsinghpur to Nagpur, which can be used for nine hours.
A violation of Khanna was first registered at the police station aware after the crime branch team was sent to Bhopal to overcome it.
CP Amitesh Kumar, who pioneered the operation with DCP Crime Chinmay Pandit, said that the squeeze from Madhya Pradesh might have issued several fake feedback to the sand mafia in Nagashtra.
“In Nagpur, we have investigated several illegal sand train cases and other deviations, including theft.
Now, all investigating officers have been instructed to find out whether the E-Pass confiscated by their extortion has a relationship with the racket is currently captured in Bhopal,” Kumar said.
He added that a scam would lead to many other revelations about the modus operandi sand mafia in Nagpur Regency.
“We have charged a criminal conspiracy in this case and more heads are expected to roll now,” Top Police said.
Pandit Crime DCP said sand transporters should present their GPS-enabled vehicles in Ghats Sand, burden them and then issued an e-pass that was released but the extension was bought them from their own place.
