E-Wheelchair Facilities Starting in Nagpur, Ajni Railway Station

Nagpur: The Nagpur Division of Central Railway has started an e-wheelchair facility at the Nagpur and Ajni train station.
Paid services will benefit senior citizens, patients and people with disabilities.
Services such as airports will be available with officers with a fixed fee RS250 including GST.
This facility can be ordered through the mobile application ‘AAS e-wheelchair’ Srdcm Patil said that Nagpur became the Central Indian medical center, many patients from Vidarbha and neighboring Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh came to the city for care.
“The e-wheelchair will provide a bother-free service to the passengers,” he said.
According to IRCTC, this service is available at 30 busy stations throughout the country.
Central Railway will add RS2.25 Lakh Non-Fare Revenue every year from service.
“This is the 36th innovative IDE income contract provided by the Nagpur Division of Central Railway since 2019 under new and innovative reformative ideas for non-tariff income schemes from the Railroad Board.” The important passenger converse contract was in line with ‘making it in the’ Digital India ‘initiative from the central government, “said Patil.
