Tel Aviv: Minister of External Affairs (EAM) S Jaishankar and Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Monday agreed on reciprocal recognition of the Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
This development was announced during Jaisankar’s three-day visit to Israel.
The Minister also thanked Israel for joining the International Solar Alliance.
Foreign ministers decided at the meeting to continue negotiations on the FTA (free trade agreement) between the two countries in early November, with the hope that the agreement would be ready to be signed in mid 2022.
It came a day after EAM Jaisanhankar on Sunday held a productive meeting with members Israel’s Chamber of Commerce and said that there are several priority areas for collaboration, including the health sector, growth and green growth.

Many post-covid priorities including digital, health, agriculture and green growth are natural areas for our collaboration,” Eam Jaisanhankar tweeted .
Earlier this month, the external ministry (MEA) has notified that Hungary and Serbia approved reciprocal recognition of the Covid-19 Indian vaccination certificate.
