Nagpur: With the lowest new cases in the last 15 months, the least death because Covid-19 in 16 months, and only 281 patients undergoing treatment throughout the region – August have proven to be the best month for Vidarbha in terms of Covid-19 control.
In the last 31 days, all 11 districts from Vidarbha combined have reported 932 new cases.
Less than (294) this case in a month was reported only in April 2020.
Since then, no month has reported less than 1,000 cases up to 2021.
This means, August is better than April 2020, when even the first wave is not fully located.
“Statistically, August has many good indicators for Vidarbha.
If we get one more month like this, we can certainly claim pandemics will be endemic now,” Anand Thatte’s epidemiology said.
According to him, not only numbers but many other important factors in August.
“Vaccination has played its role and the effect looks now.
This month only reported 17 deaths because of Covid-19.
This means, we have managed to condemn the mortality,” Toot added.
Health officials also observed that almost eight weeks since rural schools have begun to function, but there is no famous surge in any school or village which is considered.
A senior official from the Ministry of Health Division told toi that they monitored the situation very carefully.
The authorities still have careful steps because the third wave threat still exists.
“Six to eight will be very important next week.
We expect a little surge in a new case.
If the celebration season passes without nails in cases and death, it will be a milestone for us,” said an official.
The doctor told the Toi that the time was profitable, but we did not have to be irresponsible.
“Until the moment the virus does not come with a more deadly or infective-updated variant, we will not see a large surge or situation such as the second wave,” said the infectious disease specialist Dr.
Nitin Shinde.
He also said that the Delta + variant was not the main threat because it was no more deadly or fatal than Delta, which initiated the second wave in Vidarbha during February this year.
The member of the Covid Country Task Force said people must continue to wear a mask, follow Covid Dristing and avoid unnecessary crowding.
“Overprotected is sometimes better than not protected,” said Dr.
Ravindra Sarnaik.
