Dubai: Magnitude 6.5 earthquake crashed into the province of South Iran Hormozgan near the port city of Abbas on Sunday, the European Mediterranean Seismology Center (EMSC) and Iranian TV TV.
The earthquake was upgraded from early magnitude 6.1 and a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), said EMSC.
“The earthquake was felt in several South Iranians in Hormozgan Province,” a local official told State TV.
State TV said two earthquakes destroyed the area, where the rescue team was sent.
