Noida: Administration together with the Department of Food Security will soon launch the ‘Eat Right’ ‘initiative involving several stakeholders in this district.
Together with several departments, this initiative will educate people on how to read nutritional value on meaningful food labels, what is the meaning of nutritional value, food and good grains.
District Judge Suhas Ly said, “We realized through the Covid crisis that everyone knew that they needed to eat properly, but they did not know exactly what the food was right.
Everyone saw that there was a fswai label with nutritional value but we did not know what value was Good for us and what people do not.
People need to be explained simply how to describe this label.
We are working on plans so we can reach residents through the community, school and office.
“He added that the administration will also conduct a survey to examine the body mass index (BMI) and the human immunity status to compare those who are more affected by Covid with those who do not have severe symptoms.
DM added, “BMI is only a value to show our health status.
We have seen that people with higher BMI or obesity tend to have other comorbid conditions and suffer more serious symptoms during Covid.” This campaign will involve partnering with school and Colleges to motivate children to eat healthy foods, the company’s office canteen will be asked to prepare hygienic camps and healthy food and awareness in RWA will also begin.
In addition, the street food zone in the city will be intended separately.
The meeting will be held with all schools to decide on a healthy eating plan for children to grade 5.
School bags will be asked to avoid keeping junk food such as cold drinks and replacing them with healthier choices such as fruits, yogurt and milk flavor.
Parents will also be encouraged to give their children at least one seasonally fruit every day.
“There are some private catering that provides Tiffins in the company’s office.
