NEW DELHI: The Election Commission (EC) has brought an atlas about the 2019 Lok Sabha surveys that carries all of the information and statistical statistics of the large electoral exercise.
The atlas, which includes 42 thematic maps and 90 tables depicting a variety of aspects of this election, premiered on June 15 from Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra and Election Commissioners Rajiv Kumar and Anup Chandra Pandey.
The atlas also shares fascinating facts, anecdotes and legal terms regarding the Indian elections,” an official announcement said.
Considering that the very first Lok Sabha elections in 1951-52, the commission was publishing compilations of data in the kind of statistical and narrative books.
The 17th Lok Sabha surveys conducted in 2019 had been the greatest democratic practice in human history that observed the involvement of 61.468 crore voters in 10.378 lakh polling stations spread over 32 lakh square kilometre land of India, it stated.
In Western elections, the electoral data is mainly gathered throughout the planning of electoral rolls by electoral registration officers and in the practice of the behavior of the surveys by returning officials.
This information is then collated from these legal authorities.
Following the culmination of this electoral procedure, that the Election Commission gathers the electoral information and prepares various reports including compilation, document and dissemination functions.
