EC notification to SP to violate the model behavior code

Lucknow: On Saturday, the Indian Election Commission issued a notification to the Samajwadi Party (SP) to violate the model of model behavior (MCC) and Covid Protocol, after the public meeting was held at the party headquarters.
Talking about the promise of anonymity, an ECI senior official said, “The Commission has asked SP to provide a written explanation of the alleged violation of MCC, Section 144, Covid Protocol by the party on January 14.
If the Commission found the answer was unsatisfactory, it might revoke permission for the meeting Room, virtual public address, etc.
“Meanwhile, ECI extended the prohibition of physical demonstrations and roadshows until January 22 for all parties.
However, he provides relaxation about the number of people who can attend meetings in the party room.
Now, a maximum of 300 people or 50 percent of the capacity of the hall or the limit specified by SDMA will be permitted.
Eci officials also settled that the beginning of the day, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Akhilesh Singh and Govind Maurya (ACM-1), back officers (RO) Constituency of Lucknow’s legislative assembly center handed over their clarification to ECI for public collection.
