‘ECI experimented with online vote’

Nagpur: Head of State Election Officer Shrikant Deshpande on Friday said the Indian Election Commission (ECI) was experimenting with an online selection that was permitted based on Aadhaar.
“We try to apply a hybrid model where online and physical voting will be permitted.
However, this project involves many problems, including security.
The National Informatics Commission (NIC) took care of it,” he told Media.Deshpande in town to meet a review of reviews Voters for the next year civil polls.
