Lucknow: Almost a week after the Samajwadi party started a campaign throughout Uttar Pradesh to register consumers for 300 free electricity units, the Indian Election Commission had searched for a report on the issue from district election officers.
Confirming the action, an ECI senior official said, “Under the routine process after a written complaint about this problem, ECI has searched for a report from all 75 Deos.” Last Thursday, January 20, Yogesh Somvanshi’s lawyer practiced at Allahabad High Court Lucknow Bench wrote a letter to ECI and submitted a complaint to the Jamajwadi Party.
