Thiruvananthapuram: In unusual steps, the state government has asked the Indian Election Commission (ECI) to allow officers of the IAS Sanjay Kaul to maintain the portfolios in the government even though he took over as the head of the main election (CEO), ECI representative in Kerala , The government has submitted a list of two officers to ECI to elect the successor to Teek Ram Meena which was repatriated to the Government by ECI.

ECI chose Kaul, which is an additional CEO during the election of previous assembly and has played an important role in conducting elections.
However, in the order of appointing a vows as CEO, the government said that he would continue to hold secretary posts (financial expenditures) and CMD from Kerala Finance Corporation, submit to ECI approval.
