Economic violations swim with one third in Kolkata in 2 years

Kolkata: City Police in 2020 Registered 1,817 cases involving economic violations, which are far less than 2,729 cases registered in 2018, according to NCRB data on all economic violations in the country for 2020.
Of the total cases, 189 related to criminal violations Trust, 13 for forgery and 1,615 related to cheating and fraud.
Delhi has registered the maximum number of economic violations (4,445) in this country.
There is no data available for 2019 because NCRB claims to have accepted it late.
The first year of Pandemi – 2020 – has seen city police investigate criminal violations of the case of trusteers who have left poor complainants more than Rs 100 Crore.
City police also registered 18 other cases when estimates of losses ranged from Rs 10 Crore and Rs 25 Crore.
In 450 cases – the highest of 19 Indian cities that have a population above 20 lakh – the loss is calculated to be above RS 50 lakh but less than Rs 1 Crore.
According to data, the city has seen a total of 150 cases of criminal violations of trust where losing money or property is involved.
Thirty-seven of them involved less loss than Rs 1 lakh, 65 saw cash or property loss RS 1 lakh-rs 10 lakh.
While 25 cases saw a loss between Rs 10 Lakh and Rs 50 Lakh, 17 saw a loss between Rs 50 Lakh and Rs 1 Crore.
Five cases saw the victims lose between Rs 1 Crore and Rs 5 Crore.
The only case above Hospital 100 Crore is waiting with the detective department.
City police have thrown 1,560 cases in 2020 while 2,899 cases are waiting for an investigation.
Level of load sheet – 93.7 – is one of the highest in this country.
The level of Pendens 65 is on the higher side but is better than other Metros such as Delhi (80), Chennai (98.5) and Mumbai (85.1).
Police special units together have specialized in investigating cases of economic violations.
“Specialization has come through experience and renewing itself with the latest technology.
However, 2020 has presented its unique challenges and we must adapt quickly.
In the coming year, our goal is to reduce the level of the perewdet further,” said an official Detective Department.
Earlier this year, Lalbazar had proposed the creation of the new anti-bank police station.
Kolkata police have searched for nods of state government to regulate it in Lalbazar.
If the proposal is accepted, Kolkata will be one of the first cities in India to have a certain police station that handles bank fraud.
Combined CP (crime) Murlidhar Sharma has confirmed that the proposal has been sent to the State House Department.
