Economy AC 3-Tier Fare: Indian Railways has fixed the tariff for new class AC travels at 8% less than 3-tier air conditioning.
“New travel classes will deliver an affordable AC travel era with premium features.
Rates for AC3 Economy 8% less than existing AC 3 Tier,” Rajesh Dutt Bajpai, Executive Director (IP) at the Railways Ministry told Tii.
“When production takes this new coach will be installed on various trains / express and super fast,” he added.
The first AC3 Economy Tier coach will be installed on a special train 2403/04 ProAgraj-Jaipur Express under the North Central Railway and will start running from September, a source to TOI.
Economy AC Details of 3-Tier Rates: According to the circular railroad department accessed by Toi, passengers choose a bed in the new economy of AC 3 Tier coach must pay 2.4 times the cost of the Sleep / Train Express travel base in Mail / Express.
Basic rates of up to 300 kilometers of travel will become RS 440 and will rise when distance increases.
The basic tariff for the maximum distance slab of 4951-5000 km is Rs 3065.
While the basic tariff changes every few kilometers after a sign of a distance of 300 km, below are some prominent rates details.
Other costs such as ordering costs, superfast costs, GST as applicable to AC3 class will be collected separately.
