Greater Noida: Greater Noida Authority has decided to spend more than Rs 8 Crore to develop Ecotech 8 as a new industrial sector after increasing industrial interests in the city, officials said.
While 10 industries have been in the process of setting units in this sector, around 21 are more expected to establish plants immediately.
The authority issued by the tender was worth almost RS 44 Crore for 27 other works on Tuesday.
“Ecotech 8 is a new industrial sector.
About 10 industries are preparing their current plants, while 21 will soon open their units here.
This will produce extraordinary employment opportunities for local youth and revenue for authority,” said Narendra Bhoooshan, Gnida CEO.
“Development work will begin soon in this sector so that employers do not face problems when the unit appears.” According to officials from the project department, it is estimated that RS 8.17 Crore will be spent in resolving all the work of this sector development.
While tenders floated for works on Tuesday, it will take around four months to solve the same thing, the official said.
